Amy Schumer jetted into Dublin a day early to explore the city ahead of her much anticipated gig.

The New Yorker (35) is in town for a gig at the 3Arena tonight with her Amy Schumer Live tour and brought her brother Jason Stein along. It's her second trip to Dublin in the last year, she first came to Ireland in August of last year to promote Trainwreck alongside Judd Apatow.

While this trip might be more low-key - e.g. no photo ops drinking Guinness with Glen Hansard - but she was still documenting her adventures on Instagram.

Schumer shared a snap of her outside Peter's Pub on South William Street and posted a photo of her drinking wine en route to Ireland.

Meanwhile, the down-to-earth actress might be one of the most talked about stars on the planet now, but she still isn't comfortable schmoozing with the international fashion set.

At May's Met Gala, she said she left as early as possible, describing it as "punishment".

"I left, not the second I could; I left earlier than I should have been allowed,” she told Howard Stern.

"I got to meet Beyoncé, and she was like, 'Is this your first Met Gala?' and I was like,'‘It’s my last.'"
