Amy Huberman enjoys rare mum's night out with BOD's sister Susan
Amy Huberman hit the tiles for a rare mum’s night out leaving husband Brian O’Driscoll and baby Sadie at home.
The actress was at the world premiere of Ballyturk at the Olympia Theatre and was accompanied by BOD’s sister, Susan Bradley.
The Stag actress ditched the heels as she enjoyed an evening out at her home-away-from-home – the theatre.
The glamorous actress championed her favoured girl-next-door look wearing skinny black jeans, with a grey blazer and loose black top. She teamed her low-key style with a pair of black boots, metallic bag and a scarf.
Author Amy no doubt enjoyed the break – she was tweeting about suffering from writer’s block this week.
“Procrastination is just a fancy word for sliding on your kitchen floor in socks and taking fluff out of the tumble drier,” she joked. The new play drew a host of well-known faces from all walks of public life as it stars Hollywood heavyweights and Irish acting royalty Cillian Murphy and Stephen Rea.
Also in attendance was Riverdance creators Michael Colgan and wife Moya Doherty. And the Emmy award-winning costume designer Joan Bergin joined the list of who’s who last night at the Dame Street theatre.
Radio presenter Ivan Yates also attended the play with his wife Deirdre, as did newly-appointed Minister for Health Leo Varadkar.Former Xpose presenter Lorraine Keane was joined by her husband, Peter Devlin, and radio presenter Joe Duffy was also in attendance with his son Ronan.
Singers Brian Kennedy and
Gavin Friday both joined the party for the premiere of Enda Walsh’s play. Ballyturk, which is about the unravelling of two men’s lives, will run in the Olympia until August 23 before going on to Cork Opera House and then London.
