Actor Gabriel Byrne weds girlfriend Hannah Beth in secret Cork ceremony

Actor Gabriel Byrne has secretly married his long term partner Hannah Beth King.

The pair wed two days ago in the grounds of Ballymaloe Country House Hotel in Co Cork.

The actor’s friend, politician Mannix Flynn, was first to publicly congratulate the couple.

“I want to congratulate both of them and wish many years of great togetherness and happiness, that’s fantastic news,” Mr Flynn told Liveline on RTE Radio one.

“It gives you a confidence in the institution of marriage and the institution of commitment to each other. That’s a very strong statement to each other and they did it in a great place. It’s a fantastic location for anybody to tie the knot so to speak.”

The couple have been dating for several years with Gabriel proudly stating in the past that filmmaker King is "lovely, intelligent, and beautiful, absolutely beautiful".

New York resident Byrne is currently staying at The Shelbourne Hotel while working on various film projects.

King has worked on a variety of different film and television projects including Wet, a film about a Southern Baptist discovering her sexuality, the drama I Believe in Unicorns and TV series The last 48, which follows a group of detectives in the hours following a homicide.
