Hollywood hunk Ryan Gosling is so attached to his pooch, he calls him when they're apart.
The Hollywood hunk is hugely attached to his 13-year-old pooch George, who used to be a regular on his film sets. However, these days he prefers a more sedate life at home, so Ryan has come up with a way to ensure they don't miss each other too much.
"George used to go everywhere with him, but now he's getting on, Ryan's too worried to let him fly long-haul," an insider told British magazine Heat.
"So he lives with Eva Mendes, and Ryan, who's terrified something might happen to him, Skypes him."
Ryan and Eva have been dating since 2011 and there is speculation the pair will get engaged later this year.
Ryan's pooch George is 13 years old
The actress' relationship with George has hit the headlines in the past, with claims it was one of the things which made Ryan realise she was The One. Shortly after they got together Ryan had to travel to shoot his movie Only God Forgives in Bangkok. He didn't want to take the hound with him, which is where Eva stepped in.
“He was going to have his friends watch George, but changed his mind at the last minute,” a source previously explained.
“That’s a huge deal to him. He wouldn’t leave that dog with just anyone.”
There was speculation the pair had split last year, with further reports they were no longer together last month. Eva laughed off the gossip during a US TV appearance and it's now claimed Ryan, 33, begged her to give things another go.
"He was a wreck without her - she's his muse and the only woman alive who could give him the courage to try directing. They're good for each other and a great match. He knows it and he's not going to let her get away this time," an insider said earlier this month.
