RTE star Jenny Greene said that it's "brilliant" that she can finally marry her partner this summer.

The 2fm presenter has revealed her excitement about tying the knot with long-term partner Kelly Keogh at a festival-style wedding on June 24.

"If I think back a few years ago, I never thought we would (marry), and I personally never had an interest in getting civil-partnered," she said.

"I thought we'd either get married or we won't, so to be able to do that and have a full-on, proper wedding is brilliant. Our parents are so excited."

There's no fear of her or Kelly turning into Bridezillas, as they have nearly everything organised.

"We're just doing last- minute bits and pieces. It won't be long coming around, but it's exciting. I want to look forward to it instead of getting stressed, but we've managed to be pretty laid back about it so far," she said.

Taking place at a venue outside Dublin, Jenny said their big day would be "a sort of festival".

"It's a different kind of wedding, and we didn't have to follow any of the usual traditions, which is great - so it makes it a bit more exciting and less stressful," she said.

They'll be wearing ivory wedding gowns on the day, and Jenny will have a "best woman" instead of having an entourage of bridesmaids.

She took time out from her busy schedule to unveil details of Odeon cinemas choosing Aware as its charity partner.
