16 people arrested in connection to Kim Kardashian's Paris robbery, according to French reports
A number of people have been arrested in connection with the Paris robbery involving Kim Kardashian.
The reality tv star (35) was tied up and gagged while five armed men stole €9m worth of jewels from her while she was staying at an exclusive private residence during Paris Fashion Week in October.
According to French reports this morning, 16 people have been arrested in relation to the crime. The AFP quotes a police source, who confirmed the arrests today.
It's believed the arrests were made as a result of DNA traces left behind at the scene. It's reported that two individuals are known to the police after their DNA matched a hit in the National DNA File (FNAEG).
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star emerged from her self-imposed break from the public eye earlier this week and in a teaser for her reality show, she said she thought she would die as there was "no way out" during the ordeal.
"She begged for them to let her live and [said] she has babies at home. Then they wrapped her mouth in tape and put her in the bathtub," a source told E! News in October.
"She thought they were for sure going to kill her," the source says.
The robbers escaped on foot and on bicycles.
"She was hysterical but not screaming as she knew she had to keep quiet to survive," a source added to People.
"The reports of her fear of being raped are real. She really did think she was going to be raped. She had a gun to her head the whole time."
