Nothing is forever. Especially when you're famous.
Celebrity couples seem to be splitting by the week in 2016, so we've rounded up a list of everyone who parted ways this year. And now we're depressed.
Mariah Carey and James Packer
They don't belong together. The superstar singer's engagement to the Australian billionaire came to a swift end in September after just xx months together. Sources in both camps have blamed everything from her upcoming reality show and excessive spending to his alleged links to Scientology. Maybe One Sweet Day we'll learn the truth.
Bella Hadid and The Weeknd
After nearly two years together, this young Hollywood power couple announced their split this month. She's a supermodel in the making whose career is going from strength to strength and he's a rapper with two Grammys to his name. They "remain close friends" and apparently split because of long distance.
Tobey Maguire and Jennifer Meyer
The Spiderman star and jewellery designer split in October after nine years of marriage and two children. They released a statement saying: After much soul searching and consideration we have made the decision to separate as a couple." They have since put their plush Santa Monica home on the market.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt
The most shocking split not only of 2016, but of the decade. After Angelina's shock decision to file in October, the mud-slinging has not stopped between these two - a child abuse investigation into Pitt has been closed after an alleged altercation between him and son Maddox (15) and Jolie has been granted temporary custody of their six children with updates breaking nearly every day/
Jennifer Lopez and Casper Smart
They've dated on and off for five years but finally called a day back in August. The straw that broke the camels back? He reportedly went on a lads weekend to watch a UFC fight in Vegas instead of joining her at a charity gala in The Hamptons. "It wasn't anything dramatic and they were on good terms. It just came to a natural end," a source said.
Brooklyn Beckham and Chloe Grace Moretz
Yes, they are only children, but still, we were rooting for them. It's unclear why they parted ways, but Brooklyn (17) has been spending more time in London since things with Chloe (19) ended. Both resisted the temptation to pour their hearts out on social media or in interviews and his father David recently said he was "proud" of the way his eldest son handled it.
Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris...and Tom Hiddleston
This year was a messy one for T-Swiz. First, her relationship with Calvin Harris ended in January after more than a year together. But the kicker was when she took up with Tom Hiddleston just weeks later in one of the most over the top displays of affection - from star-studded Fourth of July parties, dancing in streets of Rome and anything else you can imagine would come from a romance novel. It all ended in September after she refused to be his Emmy date and neither reputation has recovered full since.
Taylor Kinney and Lady Gaga
This one hurt. After five years together, the actor and singer, who seemed incredibly normal together, called it a day. Their statement said they "always believed they are soulmates" but were struggling to cope with their busy schedules.
"Please root us on. We're just like everybody else and we really love each other."
Joshua Jackson and Diane Kruger
After 10 years together and rumours of a secret wedding, one of Hollywood's most stylish couples parted ways in September. Due to their incredibly private nature, it's business as usual for both (at least from the outside) except for one of the saddest break-up goodbye airport photos we've seen.
James McAvoy and Anne Marie Duff
After 10 years of marriage, this acting couple announced their divorce in May. "If you do work together you put yourself up, you make yourself a target and you make your relationship a target and all of that. We're very keen not to do that," the X-Men star explained of their respective individual careers. They have a five-year-old daughter together and reportedly still share a home in LA.
Drew Barrymore and Will Kopelman
After just four years of marriage, Barrymore filed for divorce from the father of her two children in July. "Divorce might make one feel like a failure, but eventually you start to find grace in the idea that life goes on," their heartbreaking statement read.
Amber Heard and Johnny Depp
In one of the most explosive divorces in Hollywood history, the pair split after 18 months of marriage in May amid allegations Depp had been physically abusive towards the actress. The Magic Mike 2 star eventually received a $7m settlement from her ex, which she donated to domestic violence and children's charities.
Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama
One of the original couples to inspire #CoupleGoals, the singer and actor split in June after six years together. Never one to shy away from social media or sharing their love in interviews, Wilmer said they have been the best of friends since 2010. "You know, we've been best friends for about six years. We haven't necessarily been dating for six years, but we have six years of friendship, and it's been... it's been beautiful."
Princess Beatrice and Dave Clark
After a decade of dating, the couple had reached a crossroads and instead of planning a walk up the aisle, decided to go their separate ways. It has long been speculated that Beatrice’s family didn't approve of David, including Prince William, who did not think he was a "suitable match" and didn't invite him to the 2011 royal wedding.
