Britain has come to an obligatory standstill as another member of the taxpayer-funded royal family celebrates another anniversary of being expelled from a uterus.

This time it's George and he's three.

As a result, tradition demands you must all now huddle round monitors and phone screens, look at photos of him with a dog and emit the required sigh "awwwww".

All together now:

If your heart did not audibly melt then the SAS have been alerted and are on the way to smash your skull in.

(They're not.)

Anyway, the Press Association has seen fit to curate the best quotes of a toddler who has only recently grasped language.

Here they are:

1. Speaking at the Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford

"Mummy, can I fly the Red Arrow now?"

2. Speaking about the weather on the day of the rain-soaked open air Patron's Lunch celebrating the Queen's 90th

"It's not very nice out today Mummy, is it?"

3. Speaking about Prince Harry when the Obamas attended Kensington Palace for dinner in April

"Uncle Harry. Why are you so quiet?"

To be honest, that one's an absolute zinger. Completely checkmated Harry there.

That's all.

The kid's three, what did you expect? Just wait till he starts writing constitutionally dubious letters.
