Miriam O'Callaghan: 'I regret not getting to say goodbye to my father'

RTE star Miriam O'Callaghan has revealed her devastation after losing her sister and father in the same month.
The popular broadcaster spoke exclusively with Barry Egan for Independent.ie and revealed her two biggest regrets in life are not spending enough time with her late sister and father.
Her father Gerry suffered a stroke and died just weeks after her sister had passed away.
"I regret that I didn't spend more time with my sister," she said.
"I was in Kerry when I flew back a few weeks after my sister died. My father had a stroke and I was on holidays down the country and when I came up, he never recovered
"That's a real regret because I never got to talk to him again."
