It’s hard to keep up - Your guide to who split this summer

2015 will forever be known as the year that rocked some of Hollywood's most established relationships.

They may have rang in the New Year still blissfully in love, but 2015 proved to be a turbulent year for some of our favourite couples.

Here is your roundup on some of the most high profile breakups of the year.

1. Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger

The couple split just after their second wedding anniversary. Canadian singer Avril was previously married to Deryck Whibley for four years (2006-2010.)

2. Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck

The couple seemed rock solid, so their split came as a shock when they announced it in June one day after their tenth wedding anniversary. The actors have three children together, Violet (9), Seraphina (6) and Samuel (3). Jennifer was previously married to actor Scott Foley from 2000-2004.

3. Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green

Megan Fox secretly wed long-time love Brian Austin Green in a barefoot beach ceremony in 2010 in Hawaii with only his eight-year-old son Kassius present.

The couple called it quits in August after more than a decade together. The actors are parents to two young sons Noah (2) and 18-month-old Bodhi.

4. Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale

The rock n’ roll couple announced they were over after 13 years of marriage. The pair, who got together in 1995, have three sons together, Kingston (9), Zuma (7) and Apollo (1).

5. Sienna Miller and Tom Sturridge

The couple split after four years together this summer. They are parents to one daughter, Marlowe (3).

6. Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick

The couple had a messy and public breakup this summer when Scott was pictured holidaying with a former flame. The couple dated for nine years and have three children together, Mason (5), Penelope (3) and baby Reign.

7. Charlize Theron and Sean Penn

This couple never quite made it down the aisle. After a brief engagement and two years of dating, they announced they were going their separate way in June.

8. Lindsey Vonn and Tiger Woods

They were one of the biggest power couples on the world stage of sport but now golfer Tiger Woods and skier Lindsey Vonn have ended their three-year relationship in a thoroughly modern fashion – with synchronised Facebook posts
 

Sporting power couple Lindsey and Tiger parted ways in May this year after three years together. The golfer was previously married to Elin Nordegren for six years, with whom he has two children, a daughter Sam (8) and a son Charlie (5).

9. Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams

The musicians were married for six years, but parted 'amicably' at the start of the year.

10. Jillian Fink and Patrick Dempsey

The Grey's Anatomy actor and his makeup artist wife split in January after 15 years of marriage. They are parents to Tallulah (13), and twin sons Sullivan and Darby (8).

11. Jon Hamm and Jennifer Westfeldt

Despite never marrying, longterm couple Jon and Jennifer were together for 16 years before announcing their shock split. The breakup is largely attributed to Mad Men actor Hamm's reluctance to start a family.
