Hot young couple Jack Reynor and Madeline Mulqueen step out for movie premiere
Jack Reynor and his fiance Madeline Mulqueen were out to support their pal Moe Dunford at the premiere of his first movie Patrick's Day at the Lighthouse Cinema last night.
The film, which has received international praise, tells the story of a young man with mental health issues who falls for a suicidal flight attendant.
"Moe is an incredible Irish talent and, knowing him, it's going to be absolute blinder. I'm here to support my mate," Jack (23) told the Herald.
"Things are going well with me, I had a win last week [at Sundance] and I'm very happy about that - I'm on cloud nine."
Star of the movie Moe (pictured in a scene above with actress Catherine Walker) says he feels it's an important film and it has changed his whole career.
"It's very, very exciting, the film seems to be resonating with people in Ireland," he said. "It was an intense role, I had to dive in and give it my all, but the guys supported me.
"Two years ago I was out of work and this script came out of nowhere," he added.
Patrick's Day director Terry McMahon said that audiences have been very responsive.
"We want people to come to the theatre, to be in a dark room and feel that they have witnessed something extraordinary - we've had three screenings in Ireland so far and they all had standing ovations with people in tears," he said.
Singer Damien Dempsey and his mother Adrienne also attended last night along with entrepreneur Danielle Ryan.
