It was a bumper weekend of culture in Stradbally this weekend and thousands of festival revellers, including a few familiar faces, were spotted enjoying the sights at Electric Picnic.
Model Roz Purcell and her boyfriend Niall Breslin were amongst those spotted at the sell-out three day festival in Co. Laois this weekend which saw headline act Florence + the Machine take to the main stage last night.
Also mucking it out in Stradbally this weekend were pals Laura Whitmore and Eoghan McDermott ahead of her month-long relocation to Australia for another series of I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here Now!
The friends even took some time out of their revelling to catch Saturday’s clash between Dublin and Mayo on the big screen erected on site.
RTE’s Jennifer Maguire was seen soaking up some of the festival’s offerings with Love/Hate star Laurence Kinlan in EP’s Casa Bacardi Tent and Rosanna Davison was spotted with her husband Wes Quirke in Stradbally.
Models Vogue Williams and Holly Carpenter as well as Minister Leo Varadkar were also snapped enjoying themselves at Ireland’s largest music and culture festival.
Speaking to the Sunday Independent Varadkar said: "I've never been before. It's really vast. Body & Soul and the Rave in the Woods were great last night."
Twilight star Robert Pattinson was also rumoured to be attending the festival, although photos have yet to emerge.
The changeable weather did not dampen the spirits of the picnickers, who were thrilled by Sam Smith on the festival's main stage on Saturday night..
The British artist was captivated by the crowd before him and later said it was the best festival he has ever played to.
“Electric Picnic. I said it and I mean it. That was the best festival I’ve ever played. I love you Ireland, more than you know,” he said.
This morning, 50,000 festival go-ers will make their way home from Stradbally for another year after absorbing last night's offerings including The Boomtown Rats, Interpol and Florence + the Machine.
