2007: Rosanna Davison photos of her nights out on Bebo
In the fourth year of LIFE, SoCoDu was born, after the model and her gang posted photos of their nights out and caused consternation across the country
We joined Rosie and her lovely, and loaded, pals on a night out. Johnny Logan talked about how the drink made life a bit more crack, until it didn't any more.
Sinead O'Connor revealed that she had been diagnosed as bipolar and that she thought her mother had been possessed, while Carla Bruni admitted that she didn't believe in endless love, less than a year before she married Nicolas Sarkozy. Miriam Ahern talked about what first attracted her to Bertie, and their daughter, Cecelia, explained how writing stories became her refuge when her parents' marriage broke up. At the start of the year, Lisa Murphy confessed to the pain she felt over former fiance Michael Flatley's portrayal of her as a sex toy in his autobiography. At the year's end, she and Gerald Kean opened up the home they by now shared, Drayton Manor, to LIFE. It was the year of Katy French, as she wrote in LIFE about life, love, modelling and mistakes, and, in the December, suddenly died.
Lisa Murphy on ex-fiance Michael Flatley's autobiography and its portrayal of her as a sex bomb, January 7, 2007
‘It was disrespectful and hurtful to me and my family, but what's the point of getting angry? If you read the book, every woman is supposed to be into sex with him! The book perplexes me.'
LIFE goes out with Rosanna Davison, Wesley Quirke and their gang, the LIFE-christened SoCoDu set, who recreate the pictures that had caused consternation on Bebo, February 18, 2007
It's only four in the afternoon, but the music is pumping and the gang is dancing as if it’s 3am. Even as the first champagne cork pops, they're groping, humping, swaying and jumping. In a way, it's just like any other Saturday night — it's not unusual for them to have their photos taken, though they're usually taken by themselves.
Katy French, in an interview with LIFE given only a week before her death, and the day after the party to celebrate her 24th birthday, December 16, 2007
‘I tend to build a world around the men I’m with. I give up everything I do and I really give it all to them, and that's part of the reason I can't walk away. In my head, I've got this idea it could get better — it could be all nice and it could be all lovely. And — I don't know whether it's done subconsciously or intentionally — I let go my world to be with this person, which makes it very difficult and very scary to walk away from someone, because you’ve kind of left yourself with nothing.
Miriam Ahern recalls her first impressions of the young Bertie, April 22, 2007
He was the long-haired, weird one. And he had sideburns. It was his Elvis-y look.
Gerald Kean explains the joie de vivre of his relationship with Lisa Murphy, December 23, 2007 , whom he met at the LIFE Christmas party one year earlier
We like to enjoy ourselves as much as we can each day of our lives and we are not ashamed of that. We have fun together, and that’s what it is all about. We love to have fun.

From the age of 23 until a quite recently, Sinead O’Connor was suicidal. When she did this cover, she had just been diagnosed as bipolar. In this interview with Brendan O’Connor, she set the record straight on her mental state, on being a mother, and how she really loved her own mother. Plus, the fact that she got on well with most of her exes, including John Waters.

The day after her infamous 24th birthday party, Brendan O’Connor interviewed Katy French for LIFE. She talked about life, love and friendship, and how she was looking forward to taking it to the next level in the new year. It would be her last ever interview — by the time of publication, she had, tragically, died.
