The daughter of Annie Lennox has been recused from the Hudson River following a kayaking accident on Saturday morning but her boyfriend is still missing and feared dead.
Tali Lennox (22) and her boyfriend Ian Jones (32) got into difficulty near the town of Sattsburg in New York at 10am on Saturday according to the Duchess County Sherriff’s Office.
The 22-year-old was rescued by a passing boat after the pair became separated in the water, but rescue services are looking for her boyfriend who was not wearing a life jacket.
Rescue workers suspended their search for Ian yesterday evening after water conditions in the river became too rough but have resumed this morning at 7:30am.
The couple were not wearing life jackets when their kayak flipped over, and Tali was not injured in the accident.
A search for Ian continues including the involvement of a New York State Police helicopter, which is covering large areas of the river in search of Ian.
Tali, who works as a model and artist in New York City, was recently praised for an art show she opened in the city.
According to The Daily Mail Capt John Watterson of the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office revealed that alcohol “may have played a role” in the incident.
