Cara Delevingne named new face of Rimmel London
Rimmel London has announced Cara Delevingne as the new face of the brand.
The London-born model and actress will act as an ambassador for the beauty giant and star in a series of advertising campaigns.
The stunning 23-year-old is famous for her bold looks and edgy street style, with a massive fan base and over 36 million followers across her social media channels.
She will join Kate Moss, Georgia May Jagger and Rita Ora in showcasing Rimmel’s ‘London look’.
Speaking about her new role, Delevingne said: “I'm honoured to be working with Rimmel London. It's the first make-up brand I was introduced to as a teenager.
"I'm a London girl through and through and Rimmel London truly captures and represents the city's edgy, cosmopolitan beauty styles.”
Johanna Bussinelli, Coty’s chief marketing officer of colour cosmetics praised Delevingne’s “individuality” and “confident stance that true beauty comes from within”, describing her as “a powerful addition to the brand, inspiring a new generation of women and showcasing a different facet of the eclectic London look”.
Montse Passolas, vice president of global marketing at Rimmel, added that Delevingne embodies the values of the brand, calling her “the personification of Rimmel cool”.
To celebrate the new partnership, Rimmel are holding a unique social media event on April 15. Starting today, fans can send their pressing questions to Cara on #RimmelxCara and see the supermodel respond live on Snapchat.
Delevingne also fronts Saint Laurent's latest campaign, La Collection de Paris, which is reported to be creative director Hedi Slimane's last for the design house.
She is set to star in superhero blockbuster Suicide Squad alongside Will Smith, Jared Leto and Margot Robbie this summer.
