Trilogy's Rosehip Oil

I have to say, moisturiser is one of my main beauty essentials, as nothing transforms my face as much as a big dollop of cream. It's like a drink for the skin.

I have quite normal skin, but, when I was preggers last year, I went from being like a spotty teenager in the early stages, to having skin that dried out like you wouldn't believe.

So now I know what it's like to have lots of different skin types -- very handy for my job.

It's so important to know your skin type before you purchase a product. Your skin changes all the time as well. Check out free skin-mapping service in all branches of LloydsPharmacy, where they have skin specialists on hand to advise what product would best suit your skin.

I'm really into oils at the mo, so trilogy's certified organic rosehip oil, above left, from €23, is a favourite, while Image Skincare's Vital C Hydrating Intense Moisturiser, left, from €28, from www.renaissance-skincare.com, got me through my dry-skin period. If you're on a budget, get yourself to Boots, where their No7 range has something for everyone. The No7 Protect & Perfect range is for 25 to 35-year-olds; if you've noticed your first lines, the No7 Perfect Day Cream, €29, is for you. No7 Protect & Perfect Intense is the range for 35 to 45-year-olds, and for when lines appear more noticeable -- try the No7 Intense Day Cream, €30.50; it claims to improve the appearance of existing wrinkles. For 45 to 60 year-olds, No7 have the Lift & Luminate range. Lift & Luminate Day Cream, €30.50, has a unique lightening complex to help even skintone and restore skin radiance. No7 Restore & Renew, €30.50, is for those aged 60-plus.

Finally, to moisturise from the inside, try Imedeen Age Perfection Capsules, above right, €49.99. This formula is scientifically shown to slow the ageing process. They've definitely made my skin look more glowy.
