Revlon’s ColorStay 16 Hour Eyeshadow Quads

This season, it’s all about opposites, so it’s gonna be a battle of luxurious-looking clothes versus soft, subtle make-up.

The runways were full of girls with pretty, pared-down make-up: at Louis Vuitton, models were meant to look as if they’d been crying, while Dior’s girls wore a soft, modern look.

Armani Maestro Skin Perfector, €45, Brown Thomas Dublin and Cork, is the perfect base for this look. The ultra-fine fluid helps to perfect your complexion with its water-free, powder-free base; it uses oil pigments to create a thin film of colour that enhances, rather than masks, your skin. It gives my face a luminous, barely there coverage, which lasts all day.

Next up for this look is the Max Factor Eyebrow Pencil 03, ¤6.49, to fill in your brows. Then, line your lower and upper lashes using Max Factor Liquid Effect Pencil in Brown Blaze, below left, ¤8.99.

For the perfect, pared-down eye, use Revlon’s ColorStay 16 Hour Eyeshadow Quads, in Addictive, €11.25, available nationwide. There are easy-to-follow instructions on the back. Layer your top and bottom lashes with Isadora’s Precision Mascara, €14.50, available nationwide. It doesn’t smudge, flake or clump and is ideal for those with sensitive eyes or contact-lens wearers. For soft cheeks, I like YSL’s Dare to Glow, in No3 Naughty Pink, €40, Brown Thomas nationwide.

Lastly, lips: I’m wearing Artdeco’s Hydra Lip Booster in 40, €12.40, available nationwide. This gloss creates sensual lips with a trace of colour and a wonderful shine.
