Treat your swollen feet
YOU'D think that spending the summer in open-toe shoes would mean my feet enjoyed a chilled-out season. Not so! At the slightest rise in mercury, they're quick to let me know their displeasure by swelling.
I've found a cure dipping them into warm and then cold basins of water for five minutes each time.
Esme Floyd, author of 1001 Home Remedies & Natural Cures, says hot water encourages blood vessels to open wider, allowing more blood through the system to revitalise sore areas.
While I'm at it, I'm going to be nice to my hands. Massage with a teaspoonful of Yes to Carrots Feel the C Pampering Hand & Nail Spa (€14.95, available from Clerys, Shaws and pharmacies nationwide).
Finish off with a squirt of REN's Citrus Limonum Prebiotic Hand Cream (€23) for velvety-soft mitts.
