Three best...mattifyng pressed powders

Mineralize SkinFinish in Natural, €28.50 MAC, available in Brown Thomas Dublin
This has been my holy grail pressed powder for the past two years, and it's probably the most-used product in my make-up bag. Why? Well, I've an incredibly oily T-zone and this leaves a soft-focus, matte finish to my skin, without being too powdery or cakey.
Sheer Finish Pressed Powder, €34 Bobbi Brown, available in department stores nationwide
Feels light and comfortable on the skin and yet is super at keeping shine at bay for at least five hours. However, the accompanying powder puff is useless, so instead apply loosely with a soft powder brush for a more even finish.
Stay Matte Pressed Powder, €5.95 Rimmel, available nationwide
As good, if not better, than most of the high-end offerings, this keeps make-up fresh and shine-free without clogging pores. Now, the packaging certainly won't blow you away – but at that price, do you care?

Lait-Creme Concentre, €13 for 30ml Embryolisse, available from Chameleon Salon, 23 Fairs Street, Drogheda, Co Louth, Tel: 041 984 4522
It is by no means a newbie, but it's one that every woman of every age should know about. A cult product among French women, it works wonders as an intense moisturiser, a pore refiner and a skin primer.
Eyebrow Filler Perfecting & Shaping Gel, €3.99 Catrice, available in selected pharmacies and department stores nationwide
Even my product-snob friend couldn't believe how good this was at taming brows and filling in unsightly gaps. It works on all shapes and shades of brows.
