The secret to Kate Middleton's flawless skin has been revealed, and you probably already own it.

The Duchess of Cambridge's glowing complexion has become as coveted as her impeccable style and glossy hair, and it turns out that it might be easier to achieve than you think.

Kate's makeup artist Arabella Preston told The Cut that the key to flawless skin isn't an expensive cleanser or luxurious facial, but using a face cloth or flannel when washing your face.

"It’s all about the flannel," she explained.

"It's quite necessary."

Arabella, who reportedly trained Kate ahead of doing her own makeup on her wedding day, said that a flannel is an essential part in making sure you cleanse your face correctly, while also gently exfoliating the skin.

Considering that you can pick up a pack of face cloths in Penneys for less than €3, this might just be the most purse-friendly skincare tip we've heard.
