Let's face it, our eyes are the biggest tell-tale sign of too many late nights, but, unlike the boys, we can easily cheat sleep and pretend to have been a paragon of good behaviour. All you need are the right products used the right way.
A bright, preferably white or iridescent, eyeshadow like Chanel's Illusion D'Ombre in Fantasme, which was used on the models in Chanel's most recent catwalk show, placed in the inner corners of the eyes or placed sparingly on the socket, will immediately improve the appearance of the overall area.
Fuschia's Bright Eyes nude pencil neutralises redness and makes the eye appear bigger when applied to the inner rim of the eye and/or in the tear duct.
I've tried many types and brands of eyedrops, but for me, Optrex Eyedew Dazzling, is the best around for brightening the whites of the eyes. Hangover? What hangover?
If puffiness is your problem, the active ingredients in Glam Glow's Eye Treatment work well and work fast.
For the treatment of dark circles, I'm a big fan of Estee Lauder's Idealist Cooling Eye Illuminator as it feels amazingly fresh and cooling on the skin and it brightens the area too.
Brightmud™ Eye Treatment, €51 Glam Glow, available in selected department stores.
If it's a quick fix for puffiness you're after, you won't find better.
Eyedewdazzling, €5.67 Optrex, available in selected pharmacies nationwide.
I am never, ever without it. One use and you'll be hooked too.
Illusion D'Ombre in Fantasme, €30
Chanel, available in key department stores nationwide. The pearliest white eyeshadow that works well in the inner corners of the eyes.
Bright Eyes Pencil, €13.95
Fuschia, available in Scotch Hall Shopping Centre, Drogheda and Pavilions Shopping Centre, Swords. Brightening, widening. Hello Doll Eyes!
Cooling Eye Iluminator, €55.50
Estee Lauder, available in selected department stores nationwide. Pricey, but it's a super product that treats dark circles as well as greatly minimising their appearance.
I can't say for sure that L'Occitane's Aromachologie Relaxing Pillow Mist, €20, (available in L'Occitane boutiques and department stores nationwide) helps me sleep, but its warm, soothing smell definitely helps create a feeling of calm.
