Feline fine: Triona McCarthy's tricks for that sexy look

This week, it's all about 'cat eyes' to pep up your peepers! Our Catwoman tracks down the perfect products, tips and tricks for the purr-fect sexy look
Purrrrrr! Regulars readers know how I adore a 'signature look', and I suppose mine is pale skin, red lips and feline flicks of eyeliner. But, oh my God, I can get eyeliner so wrong sometimes!
MUA (make-up artist) Emma Farrell, see efcreativestudios.com, created my 'wings', as she called them, this week, because I told her, "If you ain't got wings, you're not flying!"
Emma used a Diorshow Art Pen, €36, which looks great in this week's main photo, but I can't use it myself. I just make a mess.
I find it far easier to create a flick/wings/whatevs, using a pencil like the Nars Larger than Life Eyeliner in Via Veneto, below, €25.
This creamy eyeliner is smudge-proof, non-smearing and long-wearing. I always steady my elbow on a table, in front of a mirror, then I use my other hand to pull my eye ever so slightly sideways towards my ear, to make the line straight and easy to draw. I keep the line as thin as possible, then amp it up as desired.
To create a flick, I use the edge of a credit card as my template!
Bobbi Brown's Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner, above, €18, is great if you're used to doing flicks.
For the best results, invest in a precision brush so you can get closer to your lash line.
The Blank Canvas E39 Bent Liner brush, €7.99, works really well as the curved tip is great for hard-to-reach areas or handy for those who find eyeliner a difficult task. Meeeeeow!
Just like Kim Kardashian, I don't wash my hair more than twice a week. I get a blow dry at the beginning of the week and make it last until the weekend by not touching it too much - I also wear a shower cap in the shower and in the kitchen, to stop it reeking of rashers or whatever Will is cooking. Yeah, I'm sexy and I know it!
A perfect 10
Do you ever feel your skin, never mind your head, is overwhelmed by the plethora of supercreams promising complexion perfection?
Never fear, I'm here with what I think is the perfect product that's as gentle as it is effective.
May I present to you La Solution 10 de Chanel, above, €74 - the price tag is totally worth it, as it leaves my skin feeling soft and well-moisturised, not greasy or like there's a residue on it.
Chanel spent five years whittling down the ingredient list to as few items as possible, the ones your skin really, really needs, hence the name. So it's the perfect product for sensitive skin, as well as being fragrance free.
Best of all, it looks so damn good on the bathroom shelf. Everyone that goes into my bathroom always tries a bit and comes back down the stairs raving about it. It's one product that always gets a 10-out-of-10 from my fusspot, freeloading friends!
Air we go
Please don't hate me, but I've always had pretty good skin. For all the haters, feel better knowing I have the metabolism of a sleeping elephant!
Sometimes I need a little help, so I'm trying out the Non-tox facelift, the new Intraceuticals Oxygen Facial has just launched at Neelu @ Arnotts, tel: (01) 805-0400, ext 207, or see neelus-salon.com. Favoured by celebrities, such as the Hollywood beauty Eva Longoria, above, this new facial is all about using oxygen to lift, revive and revitalise your skin.
It's a great one for any bride-to-be, as the results are instant and progressive, so you can look great on the big day.
Your skin is left looking oh-so dewy and plump, while fine lines and wrinkles are visibly reduced and your skin feels tighter.

"We're all in the same game - just different levels.
"Dealing with the same hell, just different devils."
I'm not sure who wrote this quote, but the point is, life can be a struggle sometimes.
I had a rough week there recently. I was in the UK for my uncle's funeral - it was expected, somewhat, as he had been ill, but then my good friend died very unexpectedly and we had to go down the country for her funeral and - ridiculous First World-type problem - I didn't have time to get my hair done, as babies were flung out the door to be minded by anyone who could.
Anyhoo, it was the perfect time to try out Shu Uemura's new Art of Hair Color Lustre Dry Cleaner, above, €27.
This is a two-in-one dry shampoo that gently absorbs oils and impurities at the roots while moisturising dry lengths and ends, so it provides hair with a perfect nude touch and fresh look while also maintaining colour.
I'd gone off dry shampoo lately - I found them a bit icky, and felt a bit seedy with my dirty hair masked in a cloud of overpowering-smelling powder, but this had me fall back in love with dry shampoo. It feels, looks and smells divine, and it does exactly what it says on the tin.
It feels like I've dry cleaned my hair.
Following the success of Garnier Ultimate Blends for hair, we now have beautiful blends for the bod. I love The Marvellous Glow Oil, above, €13.49, which contains argan and camelia oils; it has a really hydrating effect. What I love best about it, though, is that it dries instantly, so I can get dressed straight away without it ruining my clothes, and I can get on with the day.
