Make-up Muse: Pixie Lott

Pixie Lott is renowned for her chic yet approachable fashion sense, mixing floaty dresses with animal print accessories and a touch of leather. Her make-up look is equally eclectic with dark shadows and muted lips taking centre stage.
Here's how to get her look:
Pixie (20) is lucky to be blessed with youthful skin, but what nature hasn't given her, she makes up for with illuminating foundation. For a flawless finish, prep skin with a face primer like Gosh's Velvet Touch Foundation before smoothing on a light reflecting foundation like Chanel's Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua with a brush. Erase remaining imperfections with Make Up For Ever's Full Cover Concealer and finish with a sweep of loose powder to set the base. Finally add some colour to the cheekbones with a hint of Bobbi Brown's Shimmer Brick in Bronze.
Smokey eyes have become something of a trademark for Pixie. Whether she's backstage at a festival or gliding down the red carpet, dark kohl, deep shadow and false lashes are her weapons of choice. Begin to big those eyes with Urban Decays Primer Potion before working a grey shadow like Mac's Electra onto the socket and towards the brow bone. To get a similar smokey finish, try Mac's Carbon layered over sockets and blended into the crease for a dramatic finish. Finally, for those upper and lower lids, line with a pencil like Rimmel's soft kohl black eyeliner and finish with Eyelure's 140 false eyelashes.
With eyes full of drama, Pixie prefers to keep things barely there on the lips and usually sticks with a palette of nude and baby pink. Line lips with a light pink pencil like Bobbi Brown's Sandwash Tulle before smoothing on a lipstick like Estee lauders Pure Colour Lipstick in Mocha Pink or Mac's Creme Cup. Although Pixie prefers to keep lips matte, if you need more sheen, add NYC'S Clear As Can-Dy which can be dabbed over lipstick for a glossier finish.
Pixie loves plenty of volume in her hair and those choppy layers help to add plenty of depth to the crop. For a similar effect on longer hair, try adding some texture with a volumising product like Bed Head's Small Talk. Short, sharp, sweet - we love Pixies look!
