In the pink...there's something to suit everyone

Pink can get a bad press. But the multi-faceted shade is the perfect pick-me-up. Whether it's a statement lip, a subtle dusting of blush or a sophisticated coat of pale polish, there's something for everyone. Check these out.
Bobbi Brown's Pot Rouge in Pink Truffle, €20
A gorgeous shade that's highly blendable for a soft and dewy look. This is surprisingly long-lasting, considering its creamy texture. It also double-jobs as a lovely lip stain. Just use some lip balm underneath to stop lips drying out.
Revlon ColorStay Ultimate Suede Lipstick in Muse, €11.95
This range is an enigma. Matte, yet glides on easily. Moisturising, yet richly pigmented. The long-lasting, bright Muse offers a perfect pop of colour for of-the-moment lips.
Essie Pink Diamond Nail Polish, €9.99
An understated baby pink shade that sparkles in the right light, goes on smoothly and has a pretty shimmery finish, this needs two coats for an opaque look. Touch dry within 15 minutes, but be careful for at least half an hour after applying.
Burberry Lip Glow in Pink Sweet Pea, €26.50
A vivid fuchsia gloss with subtle cool undertones and more than a hint of shimmer, this semi-opaque gloss is very wearable, although it's definitely for the bold and playful among us. Bonus points for the sleek, chic packaging.
Q Facial or massage? Massage or facial?
You can forget your mud baths and seaweed wraps, I'm an old-fashioned girl and I've always found it hard to choose between my favourite treatments. And sometimes it's just impossible. So after a long week at work, I found myself in the sun-filled relaxation room of the award-winning Chill Spa Spa in Mayo's Ice House Hotel basking in the afterglow of a Voya anti-ageing facial and a full body massage and feeling about 10 years younger.
This new improved me was a direct result of spending two hours in the company of Alicja Horzela who has a magic touch when it comes to unravelling knots and soothing stressed complexions. She gives great, unbiased advice as well, and it's impossible not to warm to her lovely manner.
And that's a characteristic shared by all the staff of the Ice House. If you're looking for a little bit of (relatively) affordable luxury, then I'd definitely recommend a visit - and make sure to check out the outdoor hot tub. Icehousehotel.ie
TV presenter Dawn Porter, aka Chris O'Dowd's other half, swears by L'Occitane's Shea Butter Ultra Rich Body Cream (€39), saying: "A friend gave this to me, and it's a perfect, thick, luxurious and non-greasy body moisturiser."
