As creatives compete to outdo another, Irish hairdresser Michael Leong has earned his kudos as one of the best in the business.

Leong, a celebrated hair stylist who has worked with everyone from MAC to Louise Kennedy, worked his magic on some Great Lengths hair extensions to create a headpiece which wouldn't look out of character at the races.

"The headpiece took me just over three days to create using strands of Great Lengths hair which I tried to manipulate around strong wire to create the shape and size," Michael explained of the feat.

The piece was designed to mark the hair extensions brand's sponsorship of the ‘Most Creative Hat’ competition on Ladies Day at the Discover Ireland Dublin Horse Show.

The bar has been set.
