Good nudes... Triona McCarthy on how to look sassy

Follow the guidance of our glow-to gal who has the lowdown on looking sassy and chic with just a slick of slap.
You might have noticed how lots of slebs are actually sporting 'barely there' make-up lately. It's a bit of a backlash against the 'basic bitches' look, dontcha think?
There's now more drama to having a natural look. But, let's, em, face it, excuse the pun, the 'I'm just genetically blessed' look isn't about wearing no make-up; it's about using clever products and blending.
Armani's Crema Nuda has been a game-changer for me. I know it costs an absolute fortune at €175, but a few months into using it daily, I've hardly made a dent in it, so a pot will probably last me a full year.
I use it when I want to look like me, only better, as it conceals any blemishes I have, and evens out my complexion while still letting my skin shine through. Peeps always tell me I look great when I wear it, and who am I to argue with that kind of flattery? By peeps, I do not mean my partner Will or my mum! It's available from Brown Thomas.
At the other end of the scale, we have Garnier's BB Cream + Blur, €15.30, which has way more coverage than any other BB cream I've tried. It works wonders, for just a few quid.
It gives a subtle glow, as it contains light reflectors, and has oil-absorbing ingredients for a matt finish, as well as SPF 30.
It's also so incredibly lightweight that I feel like I'm not actually wearing anything!
Now that 'no-socks-season' is over, sort out any smelly shoes. Cut the legs off an old pair of tights. Fill the legs with some baking soda, knot the ends and pop into your shoes.
If the shoes really stink, and you can wash them, put the shoes in a pillowcase and wash them in the washing machine with towels. Stuff them with newspaper to help them dry.
Can't go wrong
Flawless skin isn't just for celebs like Michelle Keegan anymore, as Harley Street aesthetics-doctor-to-the-stars, Dr Vincent Wong, who was responsible for Michelle's pre-wedding facials, has just launched his Stem Cell Revitalising Cream, €120, exclusively at Dublin's Anne Rossi Clinic.
The plant-based stem-cell facial cream is designed to improve collagen production with its powerful restorative ingredients, which also protect the skin from free-radical damage and help heal damaged tissue.
I'm definitely seeing the benefits after only two weeks of use - just what my skin needed after a summer in west Cork.

Don't blow it
Much and all as I'd like to look perfectly polished in the morning, the reality of having two babies means I often run out of time to dry my hair, let alone style it, so twisting it back in a bun is my go-to hair hack.
But then Bumble and Bumble decided to make a product that's perfect for busy bees like me. This season, say hello to the new Don't Blow It (H)air Styler, €29, which is an absolute must-have if you want hassle-free-hair days.
This product contains conditioners and polymers, which give my hair texture without having to get the hairdryer out.
I simply apply it to wet hair, pop my hair in a bun and off I go. When my hair feels dryish, I simply unravel the bun and comb my fingers through for slightly messy waves - the new straight blow-dry!
Triona's most wanted
I'm not much of a fake tanner, but for my sister Anna's recent seaside wedding ceremony at Cadogan's Strand in Schull, I decided to give this new Irish tan, Bellamianta Self Tanning Tinted Lotion, €19.99, a go, and thankfully I didn't look like Anna's long-lost cousin from Hawaii!
It contains one of the highest, premium-grade DHAs, which works with the skin's natural melanin for a very natural golden-olive colour.
The lotion is full of natural moisturisers like shea butter, aloe vera, mango and papaya, as well as detoxing goji berry.
It dries in just 60 seconds, develops in two to four hours and lasts up to seven days.
But what really impressed me was how it wore off so well. It still looked great five days later, and yes, I had showered!
You should pick up one of their luxury tanning mitts as well, as the double-sided velvet mitt is perfect for streak-free application, and it is the only one that has nearly fitted my personal tanner's hands - eh, that's Will, by the way!
Please, please, please can we all take a moment to feast our eyes on this fabulous new fancy-pants scent from Marc Jacobs from €62.20.
The handbag-shaped bottle, with faux python-skin, a gold chain and a silk tassel, is seriously sexy and definitely lives up to its name, Decadence.
It's got notes of Italian plum, Bulgarian rose, liquid amber and vetiver.
