Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie isn't letting pregnancy slow down her career. The expectant mum, who is married to actor Josh Duhamel, is celebrating the launch of her new makeup line in the US today with high street store Wet Seal.

What makes the launch more special is that a portion of the profits from her new Perfect Pout V.I. Pink lip colour will go towards the American Foundation for AIDS Research (amfAR),with 50 cents from each $3.49 product sold going to the cause.

“For me, it was really important to have a charitable component to my cosmetics line,” she said. “I did the MAC Viva Glam campaign [in 2008], and I was very inspired by the cause and motivated to do something myself. Wet n Wild has been amazing, and we’ve really pushed this forward and embraced it with open arms.”

To coincide with the product launch, Fergie has invited her Twitter followers to Times Square in New York City and will be transformselected members of the public on Good Morning America with the CenterStage collection.

“We really wanted to include social media with this,” Fergie said. “We’ll select three winners and feature the makeovers on live television and on social media. [This cause is] very close to my heart.”

The pregnant pop star was named beauty ambassador for the American cosmetics company last year. As well as her make-up line, Fergie has been keeping busy working on her fragrances with Avon. Her latest scent for the brand is Viva, which she described as "very fresh, clean and crisp".

She plans to branch into more product categories in the future, but says her immediate priority is her new arrival.

"I have my hands and plate full now,” Fergie laughed. “Being pregnant, it’s great to do a lot of work from home. I do it being comfortable and not worrying about hair and make-up. As far as what I’m going to do when the child comes? I have no idea what I’m going to tell you.”
