Get the look: Kate Middleton

When it comes to letting natural beauty shine through, not many do it better then Kate Middleton. Fresh-faced and clearly delighted after bagging her real-life prince charming, Kate appeared at a palace photocall earlier this week looking every inch the blushing bride to be.
It's hard to know the real Kate. Despite the rather snooty press reports that Kate is a commoner the fact that she has been the best part of eight years in the spotlight without a make-up mishap tells us something of the careful character that lies beneath.
Stylish, impeccably groomed and seemingly as happy at the palace as she was buying in the High Street for Jigsaw, stealing Kate's sense of styling might appear to be a breeze, but as with all great looks it is much easier said than done.
Flawless skin, nude lips, full shiny hair and a touch of mascara make for the body of her routine and when it comes to getting the basics right Kate certainly knows her stuff. For Kate's glowing skin try prepping with an illuminating moisturiser like Dermalogica's Pure Light Moisturiser before your base application.
Kate's radiance isn't easy to replicate unless you either happen to have the skin for it or you work at it with lots of moisturising. For a natural base, finger-blend a light foundation paying particular attention to the jaw and hairline.
Finish foundation with a hint of powder. Clinique's Stay-Matte Sheer Pressed Powder will keep the glare at bay and a dab of blusher like MAC's blush in Angel will give cheeks some sparkle.
Kate keeps her eye make-up natural. To even out skin tone a nude shadow like Rimmel's Glam'Eyes Mono Shadow in Gold Rush is all that's needed. As it's the shadow that gives the look a bright finish a slick of liner like L'Oreal Le Kohl Eyeliner in Carbon Black along the upper and lower lashes with sweeps of lengthening mascara will finish the eyes perfectly.
Kate's delicate pink lips are left au natural so a slick of Vaseline or a touch of pale gloss like Nars Lip Gloss in Turkish Delight will fix lips.
Kate's crowning glory in the future will be a tiara, but, until next summer her cascading brown hair will do just fine. A few rollers used sparingly will add the right amount of movement and to keep the 'fly aways' at bay. Add a sense of shine with a serum like Tigi's Girls Toys Shine Serum.
Commoner perhaps, but Kate waits no more. As for the bridal make-up, well, we’ll just have to wait and see!
