Get the look: Fearne Cotton
Fashion designer, TV presenter and radio DJ ... there isn't much Fearne Cotton can't turn her hand to.
The former Disney Club and Top of the Pops presenter has been a red carpet regular for ages now and her edgy, offbeat take on indie styling has kept her look fresh and made her something of a style icon.
On the make-up front, Fearne is rarely seen without her trademark winged eyeliner and those bouncing waves, and although her style is down to earth, she isn't afraid to experiment.
Vamping up the look with blood red lips and some rockabilly styling, Ferne knows how to make the most of her skin tone and keeps the look polished but not too perfect, .
Although that base isn't easy to get right, start with Bobbi Brown's Skin Foundation or a similar long wearing foundation and work products in with a big brush for that smooth finish.
As working with lighter shades tends to highlight blemishes and uneven skin tone, adding a concealer and pressing with Clinique's Stay Matte Sheer Powder will help hide a multitude of skin sins and for the final flush, a swirl of peach blush like Gina by Nars across the apples of the cheeks will lift the look.
Whether on or off the red carpet Fearne always seems to work in a twist with some liquid liner. For the eye base, try a nude shadow like Rimmel's Glam'Eyes in Goldrush before running a gel liner like Essence's Midnight In Paris along the upper lash line.
Whether you wing the finish or keep it simple is really down to you, but since bold lashes are the focal point of the look, a lengthening mascara like L'Extreme by Lancome is a must. To frame the face and bring control back to the eyes, finish brows by filling with a soft coloured pencil.
When it comes to the lips Fearne always favours flirty shades and the colour really stands out due to her choice of primer. Smooth lips before the lipstick with Guerlain KissKiss primer and brush apply a suitable scarlet like Estée Lauder Signature Hydra Lustre in Rich Red.
Fearne's bombshell blonde curls put the V in her vamp and are perfect for accentuating her feminine curves.
We think if you have it, flaunt it. Keep the rollers large, the heat low to medium and finish with a light mist of hairspray to keep things soft. Classy but not too don't touch. Bouncy without being brassy.
We love Fearne's look!
