Angelina took time out from her ever expanding family this week to dazzle at the world premiere of her latest movie - The Tourist. Oozing the style for which she has become one of the most famous women on the planet, Angelina teamed an elegant up do and party perfect skin with a stunning white angora gown by Atelier Versace.
Despite being lit by the glare of hundreds of flash bulbs it's surprising how flawless Angelina's base always seems to be. For the former goth-girl turned model, party perfect skin seems to come effortlessly. For the rest of us it requires a little work and if you are stealing this look the real secret is in loosing the sheen. Swap the usual foundation for a matt formula like Nars Sheer Matt which controls oil and shine and add a dab of MAC's blot powder which will also help to keep the shine at bay when topping up.
As calm and cool as Angelina's skin is the look is not completely without a touch of flush. For a similar colour try applying a tiny amount of cream blusher like Benefit's Cream Blush in Hush to the tops of the apples of the cheeks. Keep the colour as high and as light as you can and as with all cream blushers be sure to blend well and work the colour quickly before it sinks into skin.
Angelina's eye make-up was full of drama and she accentuated her strong features with smoky eyeshadow and winged eyeliner. For eye make-up that will last well into the night try swapping your usual base shadow for an eyeshadow primer like Clinique's Touch Base for Eyes and once the primer is in place, sweep a light brown shadow like Rimmel's Glam Eyes in Dusk across the lid blending well for a soft finish.
Finish eyes by creating a smokey effect and by working some deep brown like Mac's Concentrate across the lash line. Blending into the outer corner and up into the crease will give that dramatic, intense effect and complete with some liquid liner along the upper lash line and a few sweeps of defining mascara.
As the statement in this look was left to the eyes the famous pout was kept a soft shade of pink. Avoid bleeding by lining lips with a nude liner and applying lipstick gently with a blush. A nude pink like Mac's Creme Cup should be the perfect hue for stealing this look and to really tone things down spend a little more time on the blending for a barely there finish.
As a former model Angelina understands proportion. What the eyes have taken she makes sure the lips have lost, yet what really brings this look together is the hair. Far enough up to add height but enough left on the shoulder to accentuate femininity and show off those vintage emerald earrings.Finish with a spritz of Freeze Control Hairspray by TRESemme. We love this look!
