Emily Blunt face of YSL
Emily Blunt has been unveiled at the new face of Yves Saint Laurent.
The British actress is the celebrity ambassador for the French fashion house’s signature fragrance, Opium Eau de Parfum.
Renaud de Lesquen, president of YSL & Designer Brands says the new campaign will "unveil a fiery, almost reckless woman with magnetic seduction that nobody or nothing can resist".
Bosses at the luxury brand thinks Emily personifies this fantasy woman, and the stunning star couldn’t be more thrilled.
"I am very honoured to have been chosen to be the face of Opium,” she told British newspaper The Telegraph.
“It is really exciting to embody a fragrance which has stood the test of time without its allure ever being diminished".
Emily is famed for her classic English rose aesthetic. The 28-year-old star worked with director Romain Gavras and photographer Patrick Demarchelier on the campaign, which airs in October.
Opium is a long-running fragrance of YSL’s luxury brand. It was unveiled in 1977 by perfumer Jean-Louis Sieuzac and presented in a novel flacon by the legendary bottle designer Pierre Dinand. Its bottle has been updated a couple of times, but the scent remains unmodified and still embodies the legendary Seventies era.
