Diane Kruger’s make-up secrets

Diane Kruger in Cannes

She’s never seen looking anything other than flawless on the red carpet but German actress Diana Kruger says that she does not like to wear too much make-up.

"I have a big, classic face, so if I put on too much make-up, I look like everyone else," she told Style.com.

"I'm blonde, so I always fill in my brows because it really gives you character. I use a pencil - the kind you draw in and then brush through - from Rouge Baiser."

The actress also reveals that she suffers from the skin condition, rosacea.

"No matter what make-up you want to do, flawless skin is your canvas for everything. I have rosacea so I use Roseliane Cream from Uriage. They have a great make-up remover as well," she says. “"I wasn't blessed with perfect under-eye bags, so I definitely always use concealer."

The actress isn’t adverse to giving her natural good looks a little helping hand.

“I’m unafraid of putting on fake lashes when I want to. But I love black mascara, like Clarins Wonder Perfect Lashes," she said.

"If all else fails, I feel like a lipstick can be the piece that pulls an outfit together."

The 35-year-old, who has been dating former ‘Dawson Creek’ actor Joshua Jackson for six years, wowed at the recent Cannes Film Festival with her array of stunning designer gowns.

But there are no hopes of seeing what kind of wedding dress the actress would wear because she has no plans to marry Jackson.

Her 5-year marriage to Guillaume Canet broke down in 2006.

She has said: ''Without sounding pessimistic, I learned that I don't believe in marriage.

''I believe in a commitment that you make in your heart. There's no paper that will make you stay.''
