Condition before you colour!

Christophe Robin has warned people to moisturise 24 hours before attempting to colour their hair.
L'Oréal hair colourist Christophe Robin has said there are only two types of hairstyle this season.
He has recommended either picking highlights that will tone in with the colours typically associated with autumn or going for a more bold and brash block-colour style worn by some of Hollywood’s elite.
“Think natural highlights like beige and ash and really low-key browns,” Christope said. “Alternatively go for the opposite end of the spectrum with full-on block colours like platinum blond or Dita Von Teese blue-black.”
The expert also advises those itching to change their hairstyle to ensure that locks are well moisturised before self-colouring.
He warns that preparation must take place more than 24 hours in advance of the change.
“The day before you colour your hair, treat it to a deep treatment mask and continue to do so between colour sessions,” he said.
