The years have been kind to Ireland's original girl group..

POSING without the ‘war paint’ would put the fear into many women. But when you look as youthful as B*Witched, it’s not going to be a problem.

Sinead O’Carroll (39), Lindsay Armaou (35), Edele and Keavy Lynch (33) posed au naturel for this week’s issue of Heat magazine. And the pictures show that the years have been kind.

“None of us have had anything done – no Botox, no fillers, nothing – so this is to show everyone how we really look,” Sinead insisted. Currently on the small screen in ITV’s The Big Reunion, the band are enjoying renewed success.

The girls said they believed posing for such a shoot without their make-up on and without the aid of airbrushing would be encouraging to their fans.

“It seems to me that people often look touched up in some magazines. We should be more natural, so that kids don’t grow up feeling inadequate,” Edele explained.

“When I’ve had my [forehead] scar airbrushed out in the past, I look weird. I don’t like it to be removed. I’ve had it since I was three, so I’m not me without it.”

“There’s a lot of pressure, especially on young girls, to look like the really polished version of celebs you see in magazines. “It’s nice for them to see pictures like this,” Lindsay added. So what are their make-up must haves?

“Concealer, blusher and mascara."

“Sometimes I do go out with nothing on, but I just hope I don’t meet anyone I know,” joked Lindsay.

In fairness, if most of us looked like B*Witched without the slap on, we probably wouldn’t mind.
