The three best...brow pens
All Day Waterproof Brow Colour, €18 Stila, available in Harvey Nichols, Dundrum Town Centre, Dublin
The great thing about this product is that it leaves a lot less room for error than, say, a wax or powder-based brow kit. The light shade is ideal for blondes, who so often get overlooked when it comes to brows.
Eye Brows, €17 MAC, available in Brown Thomas and BT2 stores
The smooth, thin crayon tip lends itself nicely to drawing light, natural strokes. Even though it doesn't claim to be water- or humidity-proof, it lasted perfectly all day.
Long-lasting Brown Pen, RRP €9.99 Gosh, available in pharmacies nationwide or from gosh.ie
Available in five shades, this goes on liquidy but dries to a matt finish. It made my brows appear full without looking overly harsh or artificial. Also, the skinny, tapered tip makes it really easy to use.
Salon Pro Nail Polish, €6.95
Rimmel, available nationwide
The oversized flexible brush makes for easy application and the intense formula means that two coats are more than enough to deliver a glossy, Shellac-like finish.
Oh, if you need further impetus, Queen of Cool, Kate Moss, was instrumental in choosing nine colours of the 22-strong collection.

Sheer Skin Illuminator, €42.69
Giorgio Armani, available from Brown Thomas Dublin
Available in tons of shades, this leaves a dewy but not overly glittery finish to the skin.
It can be applied anywhere that you want to highlight without upsetting your make-up.
It even works well over powder products.
