Five star buy

Post party season hair will thank you for gently soothing it in what lush promisingly call 'salad dressing for the head'. The H'suan Wen Hua Hair Mask is packed with delicious treats like Avocado, Balsamic Vinegar and Watercress that will leave you your hair soft and supple. Twenty minutes in the oven (so to speak) and you will have hair healthly enough to make it look like you had a sin free holiday.

Available for €10.90 from Lush

Spring Clean

If like me your still struggling with your New Year routine there's a new kit that could make life a little easier.

Each kit contains a hot cloth cleanser, skin repair light moisturiser, instant boost skin tonic spritzer, muslin cloth. There's also a spot-on skin treatment which is perfect for repairing quick blemishes.

You'll also be able to take advantage of their take home offer - the at home spa kit with any two skincare purchases.

Trend Watch

Pastels are the big nail trend for S/S10 and Illamasqua's new collection fits right in. Pic 'n' mix from four sherbet shades in mint, lemon, powder blue and lilac. Although I don't suggest you wear them all at once.

Available from BT2, €15 each

Protect those tresses

In the event that you have gone back to hair basics with the Lush hair pack, a quick spritz of James Brown's Heat Protection Spray will keep your hair nourished before you attack it with straighteners, curling tongs and the super watt hair dryer.

A quick read of the bottle will tell you that the intensive heat shield formula contains meadow foam seed extract to help protect against hair damage and add a healthy sheen, but if you unscrew the cap you'll find it smells divine.

Available from Boots €8.79.
