In this week's Beauty Boutique, Independent Woman's weekly run-down of must haves, must buys and must trys, we bring you the latest addition to the mineral make-up family, a nude lipstick that's been taking us from day to night and some freebies from Harvey Nichols you simply can't afford to miss.
The last thing we want to do here at Beauty Boutique is tease, but when we got wind of what's coming down the line later this year from the Body Shop we just felt it was wrong not to share.
September 2010 will see the launch of the body shops first organic skincare line Nutriganics. 98% organic and with ECO certification, the collection has been specially designed to address the first signs of ageing and is specially developed for thirty-something skin. The line features everything from foaming cleansers and eye creams through to 'oh-so-kind-on-the-skin' moisturisers.
As you would expect from Body Shop it's kind and ethically produced - you heard it here first.
Fans of Jo Malone may be interested in the latest collaboration due to hit beauty counters next month. Jo Malone have joined forces with heritage paint maker Farrow & Ball to produce a range of limited edition coloured candles inspired by shades from the iconic paint brand.
Designed to create a scented ambiance while enhancing any decor, the candles will be available in five fragrances - Lime Basil & Mandarin, Wild Fig & Cassis, Grapefruit, Pomegranate Noir and Blue Agave & Cacao. I'm not sure whether I'd do the whole match, but the scents are delicious and the paints not bad either !
Priced at €55, available from Jo Malone Counters from April 16th and for a limited time.
With nudes inspiring fashion all over the catwalk we knew it wouldn't be too long for the trend to trickle down into our make-up bags. One Product distinctly on trend this season is Nars's Cruising lipstick.
The subtle pink hue creates a sheer natural colour perfect for day and works perfectly for pairing with lip-pencils for smouldering evening looks. Should easily take you from the copying to cocktails without any blushes.
Priced at €25, available from Nars counter nationwide.
Tempting us into the light by way of free goodies this month are Harvey Nichols. Spend €100 or more on products or perfumes during March and you'll find yourself holding a few lovely trinkets by way of reward. If your make-up bag is feeling a little too light you'll appreciate gifts like bare minerals brushes, Laura Mercier lipgloss, Lancome Mascara and a custom polish blend from I Heart Nails.
As if this wasn't enough to have us racing to cashpoints the Harvey Nichols promotion also gets you a lash application voucher for the Shavata Lash Lounge. Available from Harvey Nichols Dundrum while stocks last.
If your a fan of the natural look the new Perfectly Nude Eye Shadow Kit from Jane Iredale could be right up your street. Made from a natural palette featuring five natural shades, Perfectly Nude is free of fragrance, synthetic dyes and chemical preservatives. With shades from Cappuccino to Foxy it turned out to be a treat with layered antique gold.
