Bare face trend impresses

Ladies spend a fortune on cosmetics every year, smothering their faces in shimmering shades and bold colours to achieve a sultry look - but the current trend sweeping the world of fashion involves the exact opposite. Yes, it’s time to be brave and go au naturel.
The bare-faced look has been all over catwalks lately, with make-up artists hardly being required at many of the world’s most exclusive fashion shows. And don’t worry, even if you aren’t blessed with model good looks, this trend can work for you too. It’s often claimed men prefer women make-up free, because there’s something refreshing and youthful about avoiding cosmetics which can make even the plainest of women look appealing.
Numerous celebrities have been bowing to the trend too. Stunning pop icon Shakira appeared to be wearing very little make-up during a recent concert, and she looked all the more beautiful for it. R&B sensation Beyoncé Knowles is also a follower of the trend – her radiant skin and striking features mean she requires nothing more than a flash of her famous smile to look good. Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas has also toned down her look a great deal lately – shunning her trademark glitz and glamour for a fresh look which has taken years off her.
If you don’t feel confident enough to embrace the trend 100%, there’s no harm in employing a small amount of your trusty concealer and some tinted moisturiser. That way, no one will be able to tell you’re wearing any product, but small imperfections will remain undetected. If you really want to cheat, add a slick of nude lipstick and some clear mascara for a look that will be demure-yet-alluring.
