Model Sarah McGovern outlines her beauty regime and gives her top make-up tips.

What are your  top five make-up buys?

Filmstar Bronze & Glow by Charlotte Tilbury (great for sculpting and highlighting), HD Powder by Make Up Forever (keeps foundation on all day), Growth Mascara by Gosh (I gave up wearing false lashes because of it!), Kohl's Brow Balm (gives a really natural brow) and Ken Boylan's Hi Definition Foundation (gives the perfect amount of coverage without being too heavy).

Your hero skincare product?

I have been using Lidl's €1.99 Cien anti-wrinkle day and night creams for the past five years and I have to say I love them! When people ask me, they think I'm joking, but seriously they work for my skin.

Do you use sunscreen?

Only when on holidays. It stings my eyes so I don't wear it every day - that's terrible, I know!

What is your signature scent?

I love D&G The One, DKNY and Armani Code, I find it hard to choose and I think it depends on my mood and the season!

What product would you not leave the house without?

Elizabeth Arden's Eight-Hour Cream, above. I can't go anywhere without it in my handbag.

Do you wear false tan?

Yes, I love Cocoa Brown tan because it's so easy to apply and dries straight away. If I want to wear instant, I use Rimmel's Sun Shimmer. The trick is to not have any moisturiser on under the Cocoa Brown and to have moisturiser under the Rimmel tan.

What is your hero hair product?

Kérastase's Elixir Ultime. I have been using this every day without fail for four years now and I can wholeheartedly say that it brought my hair back from being very fine and short to now being constantly asked if I have extensions in.

What is your daily beauty routine?

After a shower, I moisturise my face and body. Pretty simple really. I tend not to use scrubs or masks a lot. I'm lucky with my skin, so I don't mess with it. At night I'll use Clarins' eye make-up remover and a Simple cleanser to remove my make-up, and then my Lidl anti-wrinkle night cream. I'm currently trying No.7 Youthful Replenishing Oil too. It's really nice and not too oily at all.

Your top make-up tips?

My make-up will very much be decided by where I'm going or what I'm doing. Obviously if I'm modelling, I'll apply way more but otherwise I just use a light foundation like Stila's HD Beauty Balm, above, and then do my eyebrows and mascara. If I'm not working, I generally try not to wear any foundation to let my skin breathe. Eyebrows and eyelashes would be my two key things to look after.

Who is your beauty muse?

I think that Charlize Theron is absolutely gorgeous.
