An anti ageing product that sold out in 17 minutes at its launch in the US is about to hit the Irish market. Featured in two scientific journals after the results proved impressive Olay professional is the latest miracle cream to hit the streets - and it might actually work.

Whether you are sceptical about pricey wonder products or not it is always difficult to ignore expert commendations and almost 200 dermatology experts who tried out the anti-wrinkle kit were so impressed that 80 per cent of them said they would continue to use them after a 28 day trial.

While many women may still choose to freeze their faces with botox, the majority of women are on the look out for an affordable alternative. A very limited stock will go in pre-sale in the UK tomorrow on Boots' website with the anti-wrinkle kit retailing at £44.99. A national launch will take place in August.

Dr. Sian Morris, Olay Principal Scientist said: 'The dermatologists were emphatic that this specialist dermatology-inspired range of anti-ageing products meets their precise definitions of professsionally-inspired skincare products.'

In an independent long-term clinical study, a panel of UK women aged between 40-65 tested the regime over 6 months against a leading anti ageing prescription ingredient. The results of the study, which was published in the British Journal of Dermatology, proved that the Olay range was as effective as the prescription ingredient, Retinoic Acid (the most powerful form of Vitamin A) at reducing the appearance of wrinkles.

In a world where we are all on the look out for a 'quick fix' could this be the answer?
