I hate my feet, I can barely look at them. I'd go as far as to say the prospect of slipping into summer footwear fills me with dread, so you can imagine my delight when Clarisonic's new sonic Pedi system, which promises all sorts of amazing things, landed on my desk. The device comes with two brush heads and three products - an exfoliant, a softening balm and a gentle glycolic-based renewal peel - which I suppose explains the substantial €199 price-tag. Did it live up to its promises? Absolutely. I followed the regime exactly as instructed over a ten day period, and came away with absurdly soft, callus-free feet. Goodbye shame! Hello sandals!

I didn't think I'd love any range of make-up brushes as much as I adore my small but sacred collection of Tom Ford brushes, that was until I tried a selection from Callanberry - which were developed by two leading Irish make-up artists - Paula Callan and Derrick Carberry. There is not a weak link among the 11 piece collection and each one feels like heaven on the skin. At €275, for the whole collection, they're not cheap, but if you apply make-up every day, they're an investment you certainly won't regret.

I don't know about you, but I've never been able to master the art of eyelash self-application, which is why this new starter kit from Eylure proved a god-send. They come with everything needed, including a practice lash, to make for easy application.

Even though I'm obsessed with a white smile, I've previously never felt the urge to invest in an electric toothbrush. How ill-judged of me, because since I've started using the Oral B Pro 600, my teeth have never felt so clean. And, maybe I'm seeing things, but I swear they're whiter looking too.

As a long devotee of highlights and a sceptic of home colour, I asked my mother to trial Vidal Sassoon's new Salonist. She was seriously impressed, declaring it to be the best home colour system she's ever tried. Basically, it's a 2-step application process that follows the salon professional principle of treating roots and lengths separately. And with 24 shades to choose from, there really is a look for everyone.

VS Salonist, RRP €13.59

Pro 600, €63.99

Pedi Sonic Foot Transformation, €199

Clarisonic, available in selected retailers nationwide. A genius, highly effective footcare system that wages war on dry, rough, scaly skin.

The Brush Collection, from €18

Callanberry, available at Developed by two leading Irish make-up artists, this incredible range of brushes are soft, durable and versatile and will help bring out your inner make-up artist.
