Beauty: Lip pic from Triona McCarthy
This week, our beauty expert wants us to read her lips, follow her great tips and gives us her essential beauty picks
If your usual lip look involves a lip liner, lip brush and the kind of bright-coloured lipstick that requires concerted effort, more power to you!
In my life, being a busy mum of two under-twos, any make-up look needs to be quick and effective when you're already ten minutes late for something. Give me a natural shade that can be applied without a mirror every time, please.
Chanel's new limited-edition Healthy Glow Hydrating Lip Balm, below, €30.50, is a must for me. This lightly tinted lip balm not only brings out the natural colour of my lips but it's also good for my lips as it's intensely hydrating with a boost of phytosterols.
The shade pictured is a limited edition, No 10, and definitely gives the 'your lips, only better' look that I love.
Lancome's Shine Lover, €26 available exclusively at Brown Thomas Dublin, Limerick, Cork and Galway from tomorrow and nationwide from June also gives great moisture and provides a smooth and glossy finish.
It's the perfect lipstick for dry and dull lips that need an instant refresh.
My favourite is shade 212, Twisted Beige, which has a pinky tone to it, so I don't look washed out, which can often happen with the wrong nude colour. You can layer them up, as well going from a light wash of colour to a deeper dose of colour.
Colour 340, French Sourire, a brilliant bright pink, is surprisingly simple to put on while on the go. Pair with power brows for an ultra-chic and fresh take on daytime glamour.
Like the Chanel, these are super soft and hydrating to wear and last through a cup of coffee. The shine goes but the colour remains, almost like a lip stain.
I hate waste! I really do. I don't like throwing anything out that I think might be useful, like old mascara wands, for instance.
If you wash them, you can use them as a brow brush instead, or for applying home hair dye around the hairline or even eyebrows.
They're also handy around the house for cleaning hard-to-reach areas. #domesticgodhelpus
If you've ever been to my house or seen it on Xpose on TV3 when I film there, then you'll know how I adore candles. They're just so pleasing to the eye AND nose.
I love how some Diptyque or Jo Malone candles can instantly make a place look much more fancy!
My new obsession is Fornasetti candles. I first spotted them in Barneys in New York last year when I was over for Fashion Week.
The graphic votives feature the Italian artist Piero Fornasetti's iconic designs and of course I pretend that the artist's muse Lina Cavalieri, is in fact me. Wink, wink!
Housed in a handcrafted ceramic vessel with a lil' lid, the hand-poured vegetal wax ensures an even burn, but the best thing about them is that once the candle is done you have a lovely lil' pot. So well worth the hefty price tag of €130.
Friends and family are fully aware that when stuck for present ideas, they just need to pop into Seagreen, seagreen.ie, to pick me up some more.
Gigi Hadid always looks immaculately groomed, doesn't she? I think I would too if only I could get to spend some time at Anna Schu Beauty in Stillorgan Shopping Centre in Dublin or at the Town Hall Centre in Bray, Co Wicklow, see annaschu.ie.

Sick of seeing peeps with flawless skin on your social media feeds? Maybe she's born with it, or maybe, just maybe it's an app that makes skin glow!
For real life skin, elixirs are the big beauty news this year, and bare Minerals Mineralixirs 5-Oil Blend, €35, is definitely one to try.
Like a serum and an oil, this luxurious, intensely nourishing face treatment, harnesses the incredible skin-renewing benefits of five botanical oils known for their anti-ageing benefits: rosehip seed oil, camellia seed oil, grape seed oil, apricot kernel seed oil and sunflower seed oil.
It softens and smooths the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while recovering skin's youthful radiance, suppleness and resilience.
I use it in the evening before bed, dropping three drops into my hands then activating it by rubbing my hands together, then pressing, not rubbing, it into my face.
I let it sink into my skin and then pop my moisturiser on top.
We haven't had a good girlie gadget on here for a while now have we? And then I spotted this NueVue antibacterial iPhone cover online, €53, from nuevue.com and I thought, I have to have it, as it reduces yucky bacteria found on phones by 99.9pc.
So adios to jawline spots as a result of bacteria going from touch screen to skin, as the interior of the case is covered in microfibres which wipes gunk off your phone screen and kills bacteria over time.
I even love how there are no smudgy finger prints on my screen anymore.
FYI: The bright pink is perfect for detecting my phone from the deep, dark depths of my handbag.
