Navigating the Irish business world can be challenging unless you have an expert guiding the way.

Paul Fagan launched Business Coaching Ireland after working in banking for almost 20 years.  It offers Irish companies a different kind of investment by providing them with tailored strategies and advice on how to grow and succeed in the world of business. The company acts as a sat nav for Irish businesses pointing them in the right direction and steering them towards the road to success.

Since 2002, it has established itself as one of the leading business coaching firms in Ireland. In recognition of this success, Business Coaching Ireland has been awarded the “Best Firm in Europe” award at the EMEA Business Excellence Awards for two years running.

Over the years, it has helped thousands of Irish entrepreneurs launch and develop longstanding and successful businesses. The company offers entrepreneurs one-on-one mentoring sessions with business experts. It also provides workshops for owners and their staff on topics such as teamwork, leadership and financial planning.

As well as being a business coach, Paul consults with national government agencies and banks on the development of support programmes for small and medium Irish businesses.

Paul understands that the key to progress in business depends on attention to detail and innovation, values that his company shares with the new Ford Mondeo Vignale.

The ‘Ford Business Stories’ series profiles innovative, successful Irish business leaders, delving deeper into their stories and the sources of their inspiration and hearing how they travel through life.  The series also showcases the Ford Mondeo Vignale and ‘the drive for perfection’.

Celebrity chef and Ford ambassador, Kevin Dundon, met with Paul Fagan in his hometown of Howth to hear the story of his own company and how he supports Irish business owners:

On Motivation

“I love helping people, it’s simple”. Making a difference in the lives of his clients is what drives Paul Fagan.

While he recognises that success for each business owner is personal, he measures his own achievements through helping his clients accomplish their individual goals.

“The satisfaction you get is when someone comes back and says ‘that made a big difference’”.

On Making Mistakes

The most common mistake made by business owners is not asking for help early enough according to Paul Fagan.

“Most people invest a huge amount of money learning how not to do things”.

What about the old adage that people learn the most from making mistakes? Paul jokes: “It depends how expensive they are!”

On Irish Success

When asked about being Europe’s leading business coaching firm, Paul says “we are boxing above our weight” and his company is not alone.

He identifies that many other Irish businesses and people have long defied expectations by making their mark beyond our shores.
