South African Zane Kirchner has been named in Matt O'Connor's starting XV for tomorrow night's Rabodirect Pro12 clash with the Newport-Gwent Dragons at Rodney Parade.

Kirchner came on as a late replacement against Connacht last week but gets the nod in the back three where he will partner Lote Tuqiri and Darragh Fanning.

Luke Fitzgerald continues his midfield partnership with Noel Reid while there are recalls for Jimmy Gopperth and scrum-half John Cooney, who makes his 24th appearance for the province.

Shane Jennings will captain the side from the back-row where he is joined by Rhys Ruddock and Dominic Ryan.

Michael Bent switches to loose-head in a front row which also includes Aaron Dundon and Martin Moore who trained with the Ireland squad earlier this week.

There is an inexperienced look to the bench which includes plenty of academy graduates.

Leinster team to face the Dragons: (15-9) Zane Kirchner, Darragh Fanning, Luke Fitzgerald, Noel Reid, Lote Tuqiri, Jimmy Gopperth, John Cooney; (1-8) Michael Bent, Aaron Dundon, Martin Moore, Quinn Roux, Tom Denton, Dominic Ryan, Shane Jennings(C), Rhys Ruddock.

Replacements:(16-23) James Tracy, Jack O'Connell, Tadhg Furlong, Ben Marshall, Leo Auva'a, Luke McGrath, Cathal Marsh, Brendan Macken
