The Willie Mullins-trained six-year-old found only Coneygree too strong in the blue riband in March and made a sparkling reappearance when a brilliant winner of the John Durkan Memorial Punchestown Chase earlier this month.

Mullins is still considering letting his charge turn out a little over three weeks later in the Lexus Chase at Leopardstown on December 28, but sees the Cotswold Chase the following month as an attractive alternative.

He said: "I haven't totally made up my mind.

"I haven't ruled him out of the Lexus, but if he was going to run, I'd need to be stepping him up.

"I quite like the option at Cheltenham in January, as it gives him an extra month.

"I've been very happy with him since the Durkan.
