Watch: RTÉ Sport presenter goes wild after Ruby Walsh helps him bash the bookies
The ecstasy of the Cheltenham Festival summed up in one great video (Warning: Contains strong language)
Just like last year, many people loaded up first day accumulators with Ruby Walsh-ridden horses trained by Willie Mullins yesterday.
Of course, many of those punters were undoubtedly scarred by Annie Power's dramatic fall at the final fence last year when leading the Mares Hurdle, but that didn't stop RTE rugby commentator Hugh Cahill, his Game On colleague Gary Murphy and a host of their pals from backing the Walsh/Mullins combo once more.
Cahill needed Vroum Vroum Mag to win the Mares' Hurdle to complete two doubles and a treble, and when Walsh romped home, he couldn't contain his delight.
"We had a double on Douvan and Vroum Vroum Mag, a treble on Annie Power, Vroum Vroum Mag and Douvan and a double on Vroum, Vroum Mag and Annie Power," Cahill told the Independent.ie.
"Vroom Vroom Mag was the constant so if she won we won big and if she lost we would come away with nothing."
"For just under €100 we won about a grand each so it was a great day," Cahill said of the celebrations at The Goat pub in Goatstown.
"We go up every Tuesday and this time last year we were watching Annie Power fall at the last fence and that killed us. We were having visions of that this time but thankfully Ruby crossed the line."
