Class really is permanent when you are a goalkeeper as good as Edwin van der Sar.
The Dutch keeper was a rock for Ajax, Juventus, Fulham and Manchester United for over 20 years, winning the Champions League twice during an illustrious career.
He is 45 now but the football bug clearly hasn't left him in the five years since his retirement. Van der Sar came out of retirement this week to line out for VV Noordwijk, who were struggling for goalkeepers due to an injury crisis.
The shot-stopper played for the club, who are in the fourth tier of Dutch football, for five years until he turned 20 and today he made a very big impact in his first game back.
Van der Sar showed amazing reflexes to keep this penalty out of the back of the net, and while it is unlikely that his comeback will go beyond this one game, he reminded us all of just how special a keeper he was.
