A lower league Brazilian game between Potiguar and Baraunas descended into crazy violence for a short period and the referee was left with little space in his notebook after sending off eight players.

It's amazing that so much can happen in just 14 seconds. Karate kicks, punches and leaps in and out of rows by what seemed like every single player involved.

It does put the handbags at dawn stuff we have to endure in the Premier League each week.

Referees eventually broke up the brouhaha, and sent off four players from each team, leaving just 14 players on the pitch to play out the remainder of the 90 minutes.

Potiguar went on to win the match 2-1.
