Tipperary claimed their first silverware of the year with a 4-22 to 3-11 victory over Clare at the Gaelic Grounds in Limerick.
Tipperary were much quicker out of the blocks and they led by seven points when Micheal Heffernan found the net after 23 minutes.
The response from the All-Ireland champions was emphatic with John Conlon, Tony Kelly and Conor McGrath all hitting the net in five frantic first-half minutes and the led by 3-5 to 1-10 at the break.
A Conor Kenny goal two minutes after the restart help the Premier county regain the lead and a brace of goals from Kieran Morris put them in control, leading by nine points with 15 minutes remaining.
There was no comeback from Davy Fitzgerald’s side as Tipp eased to a 14-point win.
