This 1916 Irish football flag will be making its way to the European Championships this summer

Pearse, Connolly, Clarke, O'Shea, Long, Walters and McClean - these are all names that one Irish football supporter associates with the word 'leader'.
This intrepid flag-maker is set to unveil this 1916-themed creation at the upcoming Easter friendlies. The timing couldn't be better, with the Easter Rising centenary celebrations set to take place over the weekend while at the same time, the Republic of Ireland football team play matches against Switzerland on Good Friday and Slovakia on Tuesday.
Even though the heroes of the Rising probably despised football as a 'foreign sport' this is still a pretty good flag. And while the leaders of the Irish team set to travel to France this summer aren't in the same bracket as those who planned the 100-year-old revolt, for many, they are worthy of admiration all the same.
Thanks to Flag Man Ireland for brining this to our attention. What do you think of this creation?
